February 26th Saturday, Nice day Dr. Liu spent the whole morning to complete my six day dental care program, let the other half a dozen patients waiting till lunch time. It sounded like not too big a job for this sixty five year old legendary dentist. I appreciated for all his tender skill without pain. This will be my last day to stay with him before I continue my round Taiwan island bike tour. I started to miss all my experience in Tainan with him already. Tainan is such a nice city with rich culture, kind people and endless list of delicious food. I rode to An-ping seashore town in the late afternoon and arrived there in about fifteen minutes from "home". There is a traditional Chinese lantern festival going on by the side of An-ping old castle. People mountain people sea, the traffic is controlled by loads of police. They kindly let me pass all the barricades without difficulty.Is it because of my tourist bike, or my handsome face ?. By the side of entrance of the festival, there stood a duplicate of Grand Hotel from Taipei.It may sound grand but the music they kept on playing was "Bolero" by Maurice Ravel. I thought they could have picked up some Chinese traditional music in this neighborhood, Like Zu-zhi-diao from Chen-Da instead. I skipped the show and went directly to the old castle. The history left only a few cannons, I couldn't even catch the harbor entrance where Holland sodiers used to land and retreat. I spent fifty yuan for about ten minutes for the tickets. The ticket policy here, was again free for the aged seventy or older. Comparing with where I came from, it was sixty to be respected as senior citizen and free for almost all the public parks of all sorts. I guess people could be healthier or richer here than the people lived in Cheng-du. At nine thirty in the evening, the chief of the department of brain surgery in Gang-Shan county hospital, Tan-zhi-gao, came over Dr. Liu's office with his son, Tan-xue-hai for a visit after knowing my departure schedule tomorrow.. I met this guy in Cheng-du swimming pool quite a while ago,where I did my daily exercise in the morning. While I was taking a cold shower and sining a Taiwaness folk song, Mang(2)-chun(2)-hong(1), he came over waiting his turn to take a cold shower too.It was wierd, I used to be the only soul using this coold rubber hose avoid the regular warm water facility. After self intruducing to each other, I realized he came over Cheng-du to join the re-union of the alumni of Huang-pu military academy, the school my father happened to go too. This is is his last day before departure. These two doctors had lots of of fun chatting with each other. Dr. Tan said he was a plumber specialized in openning the clog of drain pipes and claiming Dr. Liu's office is the last ancient one existed on earth. he helped me spend almost four hours fix the first ever e-mail account for Dr. Liu: wealth12375@yahoo.com and left at one thirty with admiration. February 27th Sunday , Breeze and Sunny I love to sing a song, written and sung by Don Williams guite a score of year ago named " Stay Young".
