Dear NTU Mountaineering Club Friends:
One of our old bones 劉紹基 LIU Seu Kee (the one that sold airplane tickets) had a heart attack late November and was hospitalized for weeks. He returned home and says is doing fine. Three of his heart vessels (心血管) were clotted and he had undergone surgeries including bypasses.
He was sent to Los Angeles County General Hospital by a family doctor instruction and which was incorrect, because he lives in Orange County. But anyhow, the hospital could not refuse and he says he does not have much to pay for the expense because he hardly has any income in the United States.
Neither does he have medical insurance. He has been advised to contact the Social Security Administration to study about the procedure and fee if he buys the Medicare coverage by himself.
He is living with his wife (韓宏琳) and two adult sons who are all working in daytime. Please send your regards to him:

劉紹基和我同住在南加州的爾灣城﹐我們是去年八月才偶然相認的。
十一月底他在南加大醫院住了三個星期﹐做了三個血管氣球和一個搭橋手術﹐聖誕節前出院後﹐現在大致上已經康復。由于老劉的年齡和身份都符合社會健保的條件﹐南加大醫院已為他辦好了健保卡﹐應該可以解決部份的醫藥費問題。
老劉現在已恢復往常的活動: 勤練自救功﹐鑽研保健食療﹐到爾灣的寶法寺做義工﹐星期天騎腳踏車到中文學校文化中心研習四書五經。
老劉可能會在三月裡回馬來西亞辦事﹐他說到時一定會參加在馬來西亞旅遊大串聯的夥伴敘舊會。
